On the 11th of December the conference continued its work. The presence of the Holy Spirit and the holiday atmosphere remained as during the previous days. This day the speakers preached on the topics that were consonant to the name of our church – “Victory.” In the beginning if his sermon, Robert Thompson prayed and thanked the Lord for His victory and that we can walk in it. Next, at the meeting for leaders, pastor Henry Madava shared his vision that the foundation for all achievements in Lord is the victorious attitude.
As everything related to God has many sides, the life in victory has many aspects and components on the way to its achievement.
“We study the Scripture to be like Jesus, to be closer to Him, and to live in victory. Everybody's life depends on the decisions he makes. It is very important to be sure that these decisions conform to the will of God and not to the decision the person had made by himself and considers right,” Robert Thompson started his preaching. Developing his thoughts further, he demonstrated by the example of king David’s life that the desire to know God's personality, His character, and His word bring success in the relationships with Him. In the first place, these relationships should be founded on love. Doctor Thompson advised everyone to think about why he loves Lord. Answering this question, he shared his revelation by suggesting five items “Why I love the Lord”. Among them he mentioned “for His word”, “for that He does not change”, “for His boundless wisdom”, “for His generosity”. “However, everyone can have other reasons for love,” the preacher said.
Although Robert Thompson preached, in the first place, about love, his sermon can be considered as “solid food”. The theses and references to the Scriptures shown on the screen in the hall were very appropriate for better perception and understanding.
At the meeting for leaders, pastor Henry Madava gave the floor to Alexander Marchenko, the president of the International Center of Fatherhood. "One of the most important questions for me is the position of men in our society," pastor Henry explained the reason of invitation of the honorable guest to the Victory 2010 Conference.
International Center of Fatherhood regularly carries out conferences and seminars in Ukraine and Russia. The aim of this movement is to turn the hearts of parents to their children and to urge men to be such fathers as God sees them. Many problems of the modern society could be avoided if men took responsibilities for their lives and the lives of their children. “It depends on men whether there will be a blessing on hundreds of generations or curse on the next generations,” Alexander Marchenko emphasized.
Then pastor Henry came to the pulpit and addressed his word to the pastors. It is not a secret that pastor's life and activities are connected with many difficulties and pressure from outside. One must have the winner's attitude to withstand, to fulfill the calling from God, and to consolidate God's Kingdom in his place. Pastor Henry emphasized that it is very important to distinguish the voice we listen to – the voice of God or man. In the end pastor prayed for those who felt tired because of different pressures and proclaimed deliverance from any thoughts of defeat.
The evening service was very unusual. It was half an hour before the beginning of the service when the lights went out and the building turned out to be cut off from power and heat. In the beginning of the service the sound amplifying equipment did not work. However, the people were so thirsty for God was that none of them left. Everyone praised God and rejoiced before Him in the atmosphere of unity. The dancing and performance ministry performed a musical composition.
Evangelist Richard Moore, who preached on the evening service, encouraged people not to stop because of the obstacles on the way to the fulfillment of their dream in God, to be a giver, and to serve relying not on one’s strength but on the power of the Holy Spirit. “All this will come into your life if you have hunger for God's things”, brother Richard said.
At the end of the meeting pastors of Victory churches prayed for everyone present in the hall and transferred their anointing and the fire of the Holy Spirit to the people.
