Victory 2010 Conference. Second day

foto_10_1The Victory 2010 Conference continued its work. On December 10, the main speaker on the morning service was evangelist Richard Moore. "The revival should first of all start in churches. It means that God's people fall in love with Jesus again," Richard Moore emphasized many times. He showed by the example of rich woman who continually fed prophet Elisha that we should also prepare a place for anointing. If we do that, the anointing will prepare a place for us, and God will fulfill the deepest desires of our heart, in the same way as He did it for that woman.

In the afternoon there was a seminar for pastors and leaders with Dr. Robert Tompson, who is the founder and pastor of the growing Family Harvest Church in the southern suburb of Chicago. At present his church numbers more than 1500 people. If we want to be such leaders as God wants to see us, we should be devoted to different things in order to be able to serve as an example to our congregation. Here are some of them: to accept firmly the Word of God (we should conform our life to the Word of God, and not vice versa); to act according to the truth independently of the price to be paid; to strive for perfection; to be devoted to changes and solution of problems; to respect others; to be generous; to resist sin; to obey God; to be wise; etc.

"The times called us to become an island of immaculacy in the sea of compromises. We can investigate the question and come to the conviction that the cause of any fault in life is some compromise in the character. Perfection is the attention to details that gives birth to an exceptional efficiency that leads to success in life," Robert Thompson said.

The youth worship collective from Odessa opened the evening service. The public could also see the Irish dances of the show-ballet "Narnia" as well as the performances of the duet "Born Twice" and singer Liudmila Petrusenko.

foto_10_4Robert Thompson was again the main speaker on this meeting. He shared six steps to the transformation of life, namely, the true repentance, acceptance of God's Word as the final truth, daily mindset programming, walking in faith, right attitude, and the choice of life in generosity. "All what God expects is the heart obedient to His thoughts," Dr. Robert said. When speaking about the programming of our mindset, the speaker said that our thoughts can lead us either to the triumph of victory or to the distressful defeat. Although Moses was the second man whom God called His friend, he could not fulfill the mission God commissioned Joshua to accomplish! How could Joshua accomplish that mission? He could do that by renewing his mind in the Word of God and by meditating continually on it.

Speaking about the life of generosity, Dr. Robert Thomson cited the Extended Translation of 2nd Corinthians 9:7. It tells that God loves those who give with joy. "If I choose generosity instead of egoism, God will not abandon me," concluded Robert Thomson. God touched many hearts through Dr. Robert. The service was closed with the prayer for the people who made firm decision to follow God further and deeper and to become the true disciples and followers of Jesus Christ.
