Victory 2010 Conference. Day four

1On December 12, two concluding meetings of the holiday named "Conference of the Victory churches 2010" took place. Pastor Robert Thompson and evangelist Richard Moore served during the meetings. The artistic groups of the church such as the children choir, theatre ministry, youth performance club “Impulse”, and, of course, worship team tried to create special and exhilarated atmosphere by glorifying the Lord with their talents.

This conference was organized and held due to great efforts of many people who served as volunteers. Pastor Henry Madava expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated in this preparatory work, and the church could see all of them when Richard Moore invited the ministers to the platform to pray for them with laying of hands.

On the morning service Robert Thompson shared the massage about importance of our decisions. Our success in life and ministry depends on decisions we make. Unfortunately, people often allow devil to make decisions for them, though God gave a man the commandment to rule when He created him. Destructive impacts come from different sides: we get what our parents chose for us, we yield to other people’s opinions. However, God says many times in His Word that His thoughts are higher than ours. A man can make a mistake but not God. That is why it is very important for us to captivate our thoughts and surrender them to God’s will, otherwise the world will lead us astray.

Dr. Robert Thompson marked out several important points telling about what we should remember when there is a need in making a decision. First of all, we should not forget about the law of sowing and harvest (what man sows he will reap). Also, we should build right relationships with the people around us and avoid those who are at enmity with God. Moreover, it is very important for any Christian to strive for immaculacy because our moral condition defines the quality of our life. Robert Thompson concluded his message with the statement that our main choice is to make a decision not to be among those who expect miracles but among those who make them: “Once in my life I stopped to be interested in what I receive from God. Now I am interested in what God receives from me.”

Richard Moore was the speaker on the second service. He preached about goodness and mercy of God. “God is endlessly kind, and my family is more than I could expect from Him," brother Richard said in the very beginning, "Very often people say that God is mysterious and unpredictable. But I want to show you the nature of God, so that you can understand why He heals, why He forgives, and why He blesses. There is no side of His character we should guess about. His character is completely disclosed in the Bible that says many times that God is good and merciful.” It is written in Psalm 34:8: “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” When you realize how good is God, you begin to understand that to be like Him you have to learn to give, and to give not because of fear but because of love and gratefulness to Him.

At the end of the service, Richard Moore prayed with laying of hands for sick people and for the ministers who participated in the organization of the conference. Also, he prayed for businessmen, single people, and all others. In conclusion Richard Moore asked to pray for his ministry and family.
