Opening of the Victory-2011 Conference

As is known, worship is a powerful tool to use against Satan. So, it was not surprising that opening of the annual conference Victory-2011 on Thursday, the 8th of December was especially solemn. God was being praised by the chorus, the duet "Twice born," and by soloists (Olga Kramarenko and guest James Huey). "Jesus Dance," a dance ministry, presented a lively jazz dance. The show-ballet "Narnia," which had won many prizes in various competitions, performed the well-known Irish step dance and the Ukrainian folk dance "Kozachok." Everybody was very impressed by their first dance: at first, a soft-blue scarf floated like a pigeon above a stage on air currents, and then in the hands of the dancers scarves raised to heaven as if wings of the Holy Spirit. This was the good beginning of the service.

On the first day of the conference Mikel French preached. He told about the force of transformation which God’s Word brings. The pastor spoke figuratively about God’s Spirit who is soaring over every capital of the world and every nation. He has been waiting for people who will say as the Lord: "Let there be light." Though demons do their worst to prevent us from listening to the voice of God, believers have the power to call the light in their life. For this purpose we should tell right words in any situation and then freedom from sin will come.

"We are free," - everybody exclaimed at the church being inspired with Mikel French's ardent sermon. Also it seemed, and it even could be sensed, that the Holy Spirit soared over the hall, giving the force of God to each of the congregation, so that they could share this force, this water of life with everybody who is thirsty.
