World know evangelist Nicky Cruz visited Victory church

July 9th and 10th Victory church visited Nicky Cruz - world known evangelist and author of “Cross and Knife” and “Run baby, run” bestsellers. More than 40 years he is travelling all over the world, preaching the Gospel and sharing his exciting testimony about God’s forgiveness and love, witnessing how Jesus Christ has come into his life and has changed it forever. Nicky Cruz spoke about serious things very briskly and dramatically. He opened his heart, remembering the most difficult and innermost experiences of his past as he said: «I become vulnerable for your sake, so that you could see what God has done for me, and to believe, that He can do the same for you too. That`s how he loves you! Jesus is very close, he`s just a prayer away».

Nicky was born in Puerto-Rico, in the family where his parents had worshiped satan (his father was satan`s priest and his mother was a witch). From his childhood, Nicky was robed of parents love and care. His mother rejected him announcing that she doesn`t love him, that he is a failure and that she wishes him death. She mocked at Nicky beating him within an inch of his life. As a result, Nicky`s heart become hardened, he was filled with anger and cursed his life. Consequentially at the age of 9 he found himself in New York and became a gang member and later a gang leader. Having not received love from people he was unable to give love to anybody. Nicky`s life was filled with cruelty, violence, fights and bloodshed. He hated both himself and people. When Nicky got to prison again, psychiatrist diagnosed him saying: «There is no hope for you». But God was not indifferent to Nicky. Holy Spirit worked in him to bring him to repentance. God has found David Wilkerson – a skinny village preacher with a thick glasses, who was so dedicated to God, that following his directions he went to the dangerous gang to tell them and Nicky about Jesus and how much does he loves him.

«God is good! He has power to change us!» - said Nicky Cruz to all visitors. Confirming his words he said that after his repentance his mother, father and 13 brothers also dedicated their life to Jesus Christ and 3 of them have become preachers.

One of Nicky`s messages was about forgiveness. It removes a heavy stones out of person`s soul and delivers him from aged burden of resentment, bitterness, fears, associated with experience of the past and gives God the way straight into the heart of his offender.

Nicky told how forgiveness made a miracle with him and his mother, which he couldn`t forgive for many years. His mother was severely sick, death has breathed into her face, when she asked her son to come and speak to her. At that time he already served the Lord and preached to gang members. After many hesitations and asking ministers for advice Nicky has decided to see his mother – the one he was afraid of and hated because of numerous humiliations caused him in his childhood.

Miracle has happened: for the first time of his life mother called him a son, then she asked him to forgive her and to pray so that Jesus could forgive her as well. The Lord gave his grace to Nicky to forgive his mother from all of his heart – and the barrier between hereditary witch and God has been destroyed! As a result Nicky`s mother was miraculously healed and lived 27 years more.

Speaker emphasized that until we forgive God can not answer our prayer about that person. He prayed so that each person in the service could forgive himself and his offenders for all sins of the past and to clean their hearts from all negative things, because only clean heart is able to receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

On the last service Nicky explained what is evil about: «Evil – is an abuse of God`s freedom. Why do people chose evil instead of good? Evil is like tsunami, that destroys everything on it`s way … Look at your country. How many sincere Christians who know Jesus personally as their Lord and Savior are here? Why at present not so many people wants to seek God and why we have become so irrelevant to evil?”.

Our mind is a battlefield … negative voices, negative thoughts. Devil likes to address to our mind, that`s why we should protect it. Don`t allow evil to overtake you. Only God knows how to deliver us and keep us from evil. We need to love God and He always be with us.
